With so many 4th of July events in Phoenix happening around the same time in the valley, it’s tough to figure out which one is the best to go to.

Fortunately, we’ve done the research for you and have compiled a list of the 6 best venues for watching fireworks and having a good time with your family & friends.

1) July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival at Tempe Beach Park

What’s a better way than to witness amazing fireworks with the added reflection amongst Tempe Town Lake? This year’s fourth of July venue is held at Tempe Beach Park where the doors open at 5:00 PM. General Admission will run you $5.00, but if you want to splurge for VIP, tickets will range from $30-$60 which gets you seated with a premium view in a misted area accompanied by dinner and two drink tickets. 2) Arizona Celebration of Freedom at the Mesa Convention Center

Referred to as the “Coolest” of the 4th of July events in Phoenix, the Arizona Celebration of Freedom at the Mesa Convention Center venue is held from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is FREE! Convenient misting fans in KOOL zones to keep you cool! Use the light rail that travels through downtown Mesa and avoid parking.

The fireworks show begins at 9:30 PM. Witness loud black powder firearms as the Revolutionary war re-enactments will take place at 6:45 PM, 7:45 PM, and 8:45 PM by the re-enactment group We Make History. Celebration Splash Zone will have numerous inflatables and soak zones so you can have fun and cool down. A new feature is Drop Kick, a 45-foot-tall, 120-foot-long inflatable water slide for teenagers and adults. Tailgate Zone will offer plenty of games for adults and kids to enjoy such as a radar speed pitch, tee-ball, field goal kick, and cornhole toss. 3) Fourth of Zoo-Ly at the Phoenix Zoo

Watch fireworks with your favorite zoo pals! The Phoenix Zoo is hosting an all-American BBQ (by Lancer Catering) which includes hamburgers, hotdogs, salad, BBQ baked beans, and chocolate cookies. Enjoy a very special viewing of the Tempe Town Lake Fireworks Spectacular show. This event is held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Lakeside Lawn. There will be free carousel rides, special animal guest appearances, and an inflatable bounce house & slide for the kids. At 9:00 PM, the fireworks show begins. Guests will not need to bring chairs. Ticket prices are $45 for Adults (13+) and $35 for Children (3-12). Children 2 and under are Free, but reservations still required. 4) Chandler’s Independence Day Celebration at Tumbleweed Park

Celebrate America and our heritage at this traditional fireworks show on Independence Night at Tumbleweed Park presented by the City of Chandler and produced by R-Entertainment. This event’s schedule is held at 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Fireworks begin at 9:00 PM. Parking is $5.00 per vehicle. The food menu includes Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, and French Fries. VIP ticket holders gain access to unlimited food from a select menu sponsored by Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, and convenience tables and chairs for dining & viewing. This year’s event at the Westgate Fireworks Fest is held on Sunday, July 3rd from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Live music, family entertainment, dinner deals, open-air beer garden and more. All happening before a spectacular fireworks show at 9:00 PM! This is a family-friendly free event surrounding Westgate Entertainment District. Kids may play at the cool splash pad, enjoy face painting, games, and prizes. There will be DJ beats and dancing all before the big show. Entertainment at the Waterdance Plaza includes great Rock, Alternative, Country, and Pop favorites by local talents Ryan Sims, HillBilly Deluxe, and Shallow Water. This is an excellent family-friendly choice for the 4th of July events in Phoenix. Celebrate America by paying a visit to Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek! The venue starts from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM where there are amusement rides, miniature golf, and water play areas to check out. Get around the campus by free hayrides!

Amusement rides include Roller Coaster, Swingin Lady Bugz, Honeybee Adventure, Flying Farmers, Petting Zoo, Rock Climbing Wall, Train, Jumping Pillow, and Farm Sprinkler Pad.
