The Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is a sea of brilliant rock formations in Northeastern Arizona, on the border of Utah. This area includes White Pocket Paria Plateau, Vermilion Cliffs, Coyote Buttes and Paria Canyon. It’s a pretty fitting name, don’t you think? To me, it sounds like an alien planet. It even looks like one. The famous Wave sandstone formation is located here too, making it an incredibly photogenic and popular place.

The various mineral deposits create a unique colorful look.
