A father named Boyce Luther Gulley built this for his daughter. When he was diagnosed with Tuberculosis and given only a few months to live, he dedicated his remaining days (which turned out to be over a decade) fulfilling his daughter’s dream of having a castle.

The castle was made using limited funds. In fact, it is a combination of different materials that Boyce managed to collect from scrounging around the Salt River Valley. It is held together by half-melted bricks, cement, mortar, and goats milk, and it also has a wide range of materials like telephone poles, automobile parts, rail tracks, and more.
