Forest Lakes is located in the northern part of the state. In fact, it is on the edge of the Mogollon Rim and is in close proximity to several recreational lakes within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. If you want to relax, you should consider coming to Canyon Point just above the Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 7,500 feet.

Those who have been to Mogollon Rim know that it has a unique landscape due to the uplift of the Colorado Plateau followed by erosion and faulting. The process sculpted spectacular canyons and buttes. It also served as a “division” between the cool high country above and the hot, dry desert below.

Campers and hikers alike frequent Canyon Point because it serves as an easy entry point to different trails. Since it is located in the Mogollon Rim, you can also marvel at the spectacular views. Find a spot you want and camp out with your family and friends. Being close to nature is already wonderful. But with the fresh and refreshing air, and a beautiful view, you will love the experience even more.
