If you are planning a trip to Tucson, Arizona, you should definitely check out this hotel that will surely pique your interest! Hotel Congress in Tucson, Arizona, is a cozy and classy hotel where you are bound to have a chilling experience of a lifetime! Why is that?

Hotel Congress in Tucson is a place of cultural significance and you can find it when you come to Downtown Tucson. Erected in the year 1919, the hotel has seen a fair share of renovations and modifications; from the cranky corners to the polished and refined furniture. Dusting off its 1919 rust, but maintaining the vintage and classy spirit, the hotel is undoubtedly an urban charmer.

If you pace along the hotel corridors, you will find that it emanates this vintage mood that gives the hotel a sense of uniqueness – an edge. In preserving its natural, old-fashioned sense of design, Hotel Congress in Tucson did so in a detailed manner.

The hotel maintained the classic iron bed frames and stylistic vintage radios. It still has the functional 1930’s style rotary phones connected to a real switchboard operated at the front desk. In fact, even the rumbling sound of the nearby train passing by is still there. Can it get any more nostalgic?

Overall, the hotel is a one-part vintage and one-part urban. Unlike other historical hotels, Hotel Tucson fitted all its rooms with air-conditioning and private bathrooms to your comfort! And despite the old-school design and furniture, the hotel is clean and green too. With its green initiatives in using solar-powered heaters, stance against abundant plastic usage, recycling and composting efforts, and promotion of local products, Hotel Congress of Tucson, Arizona is now a Gold Level Green Leader on Trip Advisor. Talk about reducing your carbon footprint.

This Hotel Is Great, but it Has Haunting Tales Too…

Yes, Hotel Congress in Tucson may sound all sugar, spice and all that’s nice. Beware, however, because individuals who are more perceptive may find the hotel more chilling than you think. Hotel Congress is famous for having haunted tales because ghosts and spirits are rumored to reside in its premises. Some are familiar to the hotel grounds, but there some who are considered “lost souls.”

Take rooms 242, 214, and 220 for example.

Guests have reported sightings of a man in a seersucker in the window of Room 214. However, whenever management checks for room occupation, it’s always vacant. This ghost probably has his “hotel staff radar” on high alert! According to other reports, the man is said to roam hallways too.

Who knows if the man has already photo-bombed you in your photo?

What’s the next haunted room? By merely entering Room 242, you can already feel a surge of chills climb your spine upwards. That is, if you can see or feel ghosts. Some guests have reported ghostly and supernatural experiences, often entailing a woman in a white dress sitting at the foot of the bed. The woman is rumored to have a troubled past.

Last, but not the least, is Room 220, or more popularly known as Vince’s Room. Vince was an employee who had served and lived at the hotel for 36 years before passing in 2001. During his days, he lived a routinary life. For every single day, Vince would wake up and grab a cup of coffee, a small plate, a bagel, and butter with a knife and head back to his room to eat. He would then leave the cup and the plate outside his doorstep for pickup. Despite his passing, however, Vince seems to be continuing this routine. Both guests and employees have reported seeing butter knives outside the room’s door and in random places in the hotel. Now that is creepy! Or if someone is just pulling a prank, it’s not funny.
