Here at Flagstaff Extreme, you will be playing up in the trees while pushing yourself beyond what you thought you were capable of. Think of this as a ninja gym, except you are not in a closed environment. This place is definitely perfect for the thrill-seekers and adventurers who never back down from a good challenge. They offer an adventure course where you need to complete an elevated obstacle course set in the tall Ponderosa Pines. Let your fear of heights take a back seat because you will be 15 to 60 feet off the ground. Push yourself to the limit and see if you can finish the 5 courses and over 80 obstacles. Since you are already at the largest suspended challenge course in Arizona, you might as well give it your all. The rate for the Adventure Course is $55 per guest + taxes and fees. There is also an easier version perfect for little ones, the Adventure Kids Course, which is priced at $27 per guest + taxes and fees.

It is pretty decent considering you will be treated to hours of tree-to-tree adventure, full of many action elements. If I were you, we’d take deep breaths before breezing through the different obstacles such as swings, nets, ziplines, and the aerial skateboard. Now, if you get stuck, don’t worry. There is a rescue guide who can help you out in the course.

Come play in the trees and see how long it will take you to complete it! The approximate time of completion is about 4 hours.

Take that leap of faith! It’s about time you explore the outdoors like you never have before. You may be used to hiking peaks and all that, but Flagstaff Extreme is all about fun and thrills. Aside from the adventure course, you can try their Zip Line Course, which is the largest in the western United States. The rate for the zip line is similar to the course. It is $55 per guest + taxes and fees.

The Adventure Zip Line is actually not for the faint of heart. The course includes different bridges and ladders, so it’s not your regular zip line experience, because this one requires you to stay active.

You will first be asked to take a 5-minute walk to the beginning of the course and walking between the courses. It is self-guided. Meaning, you will just receive training and the zip line experience is yours alone to enjoy. This is definitely an exciting expedition in the trees where you will traverse many challenging elements. The multiple large circuits prepared on-site are a mixture of different obstacles and zip lines. Who would have imagined that there is a place in Arizona where you can just goof off and play in the hanging nets, wobbly bridges, and other suspended “surprises.” Before you say you can’t possibly finish the course in Flagstaff Extreme, just know that the circuits display a color-coded system indicating the challenge based on elevation and difficulty.

When you begin, you can follow the green course so you can get comfortable with the way you move, the equipment, as well as the feel of getting through different obstacles. After that, you can stick to the silver course with more elements such as cable ladders and tents.

The blue course is up next, and prepares you to take on the more advanced challenges. You will be swinging on ropes and climbing trees, and basically, just bring out your inner ninja.   • The slots for the courses at Flagstaff Extreme are almost always sold out. If you plan to go here, make sure to make a reservation or booking to assure you and your friends can play in the trees all you want.
  • There are five courses for the Adventure Course which vary in difficulty. On the other hand, the Zip Line Course has over 30 zip lines, as well as some ladders and bridges.
  • There is no general weight limit for guests trying out the Adult Course because the management thinks it depends on the shape of the person. However, Flagstaff Extreme will check if you can reach the middle of your palms to a height of 5’11, with your feet flat on the ground.

  • If you are not up for the thrilling adventure just yet, don’t worry! You can watch your friends for free. Since Flagstaff Extreme operates in a County Park, you can walk along the courses. Alternatively, you can ride a mountain bike or do some hiking. The only thing you are not allowed to do is getting up on any part of the course.
  • Flagstaff Extreme is not a timed or competitive course. There may be delays due to the volume of guests, but you can be rest assured that they won’t overfill the course.
  • You can come play in the trees during winter, but you need to be prepared. Prepare for your adventure as if you are going snowboarding or skiing. Since Flagstaff is 7,000 feet above sea level, it can really be cold. This is especially true for guests from the Phoenix Metro or Tucson areas!
