Since the founded was built in 1919, the monument has been restored and renovated to further improve the landmark.

5. Carhenge

Built sometime June 1987’s summer solstice, Carhenge serves as a memorial dedicated by Jim Reinders to his father. This attraction replicates the Stonehenge in England, but instead of massive stones, Reinders used vintage cars painted in gray. It consists of around 40 cars perfectly arranged in the prairie grasslands.

The circle measures roughly 30 m in diameter, some of these cars were held upright, some were held to form arches and some were welded in place. The Carhenge isn’t the only attraction here, there are also several artworks that you can see on site. Did I mention that admission is free too?

6. Cowboy Trail

This over 200 miles of trail was where the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Corridor used to run. Nestled in the Niobrara River Valley, Cowboy Trail is a popular recreational facility in the state. 7. The Archway

 This magnificent structure is in Interstate 80 near the town of Kearny. Originally named as the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument, it became The Archway in 2013. A creative team from Walt Disney Orlando designed the entire structure. The project is a commission by Frank B. Morrison Sr- Nebraska’s last living three-term governor.

There are several activities you can enjoy here. There is a replica sod house, a trailblaze maze, and even a lake where you can do picnics. One may also experience first hand the stories of the Native Americans, pioneers, railroaders, and fur trappers through interactive displays.
