Southport, NC is especially lively at the start of July with its annual 4th of July festival bringing in more than 40,000 people. Even if you’re not visiting for an event, you’re sure to fall in love with Southport, NC and its charm on any summer day.

Catch a Ride on the Ferry!


Getting there can be half the fun when taking the ferry from Fort Fisher or Bald Head Island! You and your pup can walk onboard, cycle on, or even take your car to explore more of the town at a quicker rate. Keep your eyes open for bottlenose dolphins and porpoises on the ride over!
