There’s No Attraction In The World Like the Charlotte Motor Speedway

Stationed in Concord, just 13 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina, the Charlotte Motor Speedway is a 2,000-acre motor-sports complex. This massive track sets the stage for NASCAR racing, events, as well as public tours. Containing the only solid concrete, four-lane drag strip in the nation, the Speedway is also a frequent host of NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) events. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is a thrilling attraction for families and racers alike.

Camp in the Infield

Visiting from out of town? No worries, the Speedway offers full-service camping as well as RV rentals in their surrounding campgrounds and infield! Just don’t sleep-in or else you’ll get a very rude awakening.

Attend a Nationals Event

Events are frequent at the Charlotte Motor Speedway but attend one like the Goodguys Pennzoil Southeastern Nationals in October and experience more than 2,500 custom pre-1972 cars. This has become a very popular place to enjoy car shows as well as different races in the Southeastern United States.

Feel the Thrill Speedway Tour

Uncover the history of the course as you ride through two infield race tracks before getting your picture in the Winner’s Circle. Take home the fun memories with family photos.

Shop the Gift Shop, Food Trucks, and Festival Tents

Check out the gift shops, festival tents, and southern cuisine from a variety of food trucks during the many racing events. There are more than enough food options for all race-goers even though the capacity of the speedway ranges from 94,000 – 171,000 people depending on configurations.

5. Military support and discounts

The Charlotte Motor Speedway shows its support for our military as well as first responders. They offer up to 30% discounts on tickets. You can purchase tickets on the official website.

Growing up in various states along the east coast, I've developed a love of all things local. I currently live in North Carolina and wouldn't move for anything! I love the beach, animals, and creating my own adventures. I encourage everyone to travel and never be afraid to fail.
