You need not worry if you are coming with your family or if you’re just looking for an interesting stroll!

The picturesque scene is straight out of a postcard. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the surrounding park offers picnic areas, caves to explore, and even a castle! Yup, a castle. It’s the ultimate day trip destination!

The next one on our list was recommended by none other than the Oklahoma Director of Tourism herself! This peaceful oasis was mentioned as one of the “favorites,” and we definitely agree! You will love how you’re surrounded by lush greenery and a tranquil atmosphere. The trail to the falls is also short and well-maintained, making it accessible for hikers of all levels.

Come here if you want to experience the 77-foot waterfall and scenic trails. The best thing is it’s just an hour away from Tulsa!

Little Niagara Falls – Sulphur, Oklahoma

Don’t let the name fool you; Little Niagara Falls packs a big punch. This piece of paradise is located in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, and is absolutely perfect for a refreshing swim! The water is cool and inviting, especially during Oklahoma’s hot summer months. There are several restrooms and picnic areas. Plus, you won’t even have to worry about parking!

Leave only footprints!

If you’re planning to go to these waterfalls, or any other trail for that matter, remember to be a responsible hiker! Let’s all do our part in protecting nature and be respectful of the natural world by abiding by the  7 Principles of Leave No Trace!

Don’t litter and don’t be too loud that you disrespect other guests and the surroundings. Plus — respect wildlife! It’s their habitat, not yours. If you are a guest visiting, it’s only proper that you show consideration and not too anything that will harm them.

Oklahoma’s waterfalls offer a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility! No wonder hikers and nature lovers alike consider every trip a good adventure!

Whether you’re planning a day trip or a weekend getaway, these three exceptional waterfalls should be on your must-visit list. Happy hiking and don’t follow what the song says — go chase waterfalls!
