The bakery serves up cupcakes that make your taste buds dance. Try their signature Silobration cupcake with vanilla cake and buttercream frosting, Silo Cookie, and the Price Pig bacon and cheddar biscuit.

Watch through the kitchen window as bakers hand-roll each donut. The apple fritters are bigger than your hand, and the glazed donuts have a perfect crispy-soft balance.

Blue Bell Creameries

Operating since 1907 in Brenham, Blue Bell ranks as one of America’s best-selling ice cream brands despite only selling in select states. 

Watch how Texas’s favorite ice cream gets made during their factory tours. Sample flavors you can’t find anywhere else – like their Butter Crunch that’s loaded with crunchy toffee pieces. The Homemade Vanilla still uses fresh cream from local dairy farms. Their seasonal flavors change often, but Pecan Pralines n’ Cream stays on the menu year-round.

Berdoll’s

This family-owned business in Cedar Creek started as a pecan farm in 1978 and grew into a must-visit candy destination. 

Look for Ms. Pearl, the giant squirrel statue out front. Watch workers hand-dip fresh pecans in chocolate and candy coatings. Their pecan pies come straight from the oven throughout the day. Try the cinnamon-glazed pecans – they’re addictive! 

The shop sells every pecan treat imaginable, from pralines to pecan butter. They added a pecan-based savory snack line combined with Texas flavors in 2025. Their 24-hour vending machine ensures you can get your pecan fix anytime.

Blue Bonnet Café

This Marble Falls institution has been serving up Texas comfort food and award-winning pies since 1929. 

During pie happy hour every 3 to 5 PM on weekdays, you get a slice of heaven and a drink for a steal. The meringue pies tower so high they barely fit in the display case. Their coconut cream pie has won awards, but the peanut butter pie steals the show. 

For this year, you may try “heritage recipe” specials on the menu every month The café’s been a Hill Country landmark. You can also opt to fill up on their chicken fried steak before diving into dessert.

Spoetzl Brewery

Last but not least, swing by the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner. Since 1909, they’ve been brewing up Texas history in a bottle.

Take a weekday tour, sample four different beers, and grab some cool Shiner swag before you go. If you’re adventurous, you can get the small-batch experimental series during the tour. They also added an on-site beer garden with food pairings done with local chefs.
