The Haiku Fruit and Packing Company was started in 1903, and by 1921, they had built this structure to house their manager. Present day, this classical example of architecture has been named to the State of Hawaii’s Register of Historic Sites by the Historic Hawaii Foundation.  The Haiku Cannery Inn has a laid back plantation charm that puts all of it’s guests at ease. It’s easy to see that you’re in good hands once you’ve been introduced to your hosts, the Kama’aina family, who have called this island home for three generations. They’ve owned this property and lived on it for more than forty years. At this inn, it’s the small touches that really catch your eye. For example, much of the furniture that you will see throughout the inn has been handcrafted by members of the family, using wood that has been locally harvested and milled. Various artwork from other local artists and artisans also helps bring this house to life! With three acres of land, they’ve got plenty of gorgeous vistas, whether you want to fest your eyes on volcanoes, pastures, or the ocean. If the season is right, you can have fun picking a variety of things! Bananas, oranges, coconut, avocado, tangerines, lemons, limes, and grapefruits are all up for grabs as you wander this beautiful property. Stay in one of their rooms, like the Sunrise Room, the Pacific Room, or the Bamboo Suite, and you’ll love your experience here!

If you’re looking for a little privacy, this bed and breakfast might be right up your alley. Here, they’ve only got two suites and a vacation cottage. Opt for a King size bed in the Ocean Suite, or a Queen sized bed in the Rainforest Suite. Either way, you’ll have your own private bathrooms, private entrance, kitchenette, and even a private outdoor deck for catching the sunrises and sunsets. If you want some extra space, why not book the whole cottage for a home away from home experience? You’ll find the same amenities there, plus a full, gourmet kitchen, a covered carport, a washer and dryer, a computer, and a wrap around deck. This private estate lies on the hill above Wailea, so you’re guaranteed a relaxing location. Hosts, Tom and Denise know a few things about making dreams come true. They fell in love with Maui on their very first visit, and dedicated the next seven years of their lives to following their dreams. Today, they proudly own their bed and breakfast, and love interacting with guests to make others dreams come true as well!
