This beautiful lake is extremely large and is often used by boat owners that are interested in relaxing and enjoy the surrounding sights right from the water. This lake is especially beautiful at sundown, reflecting the warm colors from the sky onto the surface of the lake. We of course had to save Lake Michigan for last because it is so large and offers the most extensive activities for its visitors. As the largest of all the Great Lakes in the midwest, Lake Michigan borders Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Those living in Illinois are lucky enough to be able to experience Lake Michigan in many parts of the state, from the more rural areas, all the way to downtown Chicago, where visitors can actually stroll down the outside of the lake’s boundaries. Lake Michigan is a hub for an endless amount of activities, including fishing, boating, swimming, city tours and so much more. Many in Illinois even have lake homes so they can visit whenever they would like. At the most majestic lake on the list, we had to save the best for last.
