Mortimer Farms in Arizona is under the ownership of the lovely husband and wife duo, Gary and Sharla Mortimer. Both of them grew up in the rural living setup. Gary was born and raised in Creston where his family cultivated corn and soybeans. He, later on, moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he worked in the landscaping business when he was a high schooler.

On the other hand, his wife Sharla was born in Mesa, Arizona, and grew up in a farm in Haquahala Valley. They both share knowledge about cultivating and growing land, crops, and livestock.

When you think about it, Gary and Sharla have a shared passion for farming and ranching, and this passion is something they enjoy sharing with other people. They both believe the farm life exemplifies the manifestation of hard work, patience, and cultivation of growth.

Come 2003, when Gary and Sharla were looking for a place to raise their family, they found a ranch that fitted their liking perfectly! The farm was owned by a woman who was looking to pass the land over. Thus, began the story of the farming experience their guests get the opportunity to enjoy.

It was Sharla’s innate passion to share with people the insight of how food is grown, why it’s healthy, and why it should be the food served on your table. She takes joy in teaching about how fresh, natural crops are nourishing and nutritious.
