With Halloween a little over a week away and only two weekends for family adventures, time is at hand to get out and celebrate the cooler temperatures of the season. An Arizona corn maze is a great way to celebrate fall. These 10 corn mazes are perfect Halloween fun for the whole family and a great way to get some exercise.
1. Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party
Fall for autumn while enjoying the fresh air during the annual Pumpkin and Chili Party. Every Thursday through Sunday in October, families can enjoy hayrides, a petting zoo, corn maze, and dog shows. The party also includes amusement rides, a rock-climbing wall, and marshmallow roasting. Train and pony rides, food and pumpkins are available for an extra cost.

2. Rocker 7 Farm Patch Festival
Experience the ultimate in autumn family farm activities at Rocker 7 Farm. Help the kiddos pick the perfect Jack O’Lantern in the pumpkin patch and see how fast you can get through the challenging but fun Arizona corn maze. Take amazing pics in the sunflower field and enjoy a relaxing hay wagon ride.

3. Vertuccio Farms Fall Festival and Corn Maze

4. Fear Farm
This huge West Valley attraction boasts five themed areas with such names as Slaughterhouse and Mouth of Madness, so you might want to wear running shoes. Frequently voted one of the Valley’s best-haunted houses, it also has something most others don’t: a 6-acre haunted Arizona corn maze. This year’s new Haunted Hayride is not recommended for children younger than 12.

A nice walk through the cornfield on a cool October night — what could possibly go wrong? Only everything, when it’s planted over a forgotten cemetery. The dead seek revenge in this ghoul-filled haunted corn maze. Get lost? Just follow the blood-curdling screams. Go to the website to print a coupon for $2 off.

6. Tolmachoff Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
Pick out a pumpkin (prices vary) and weave through a 6-acre corn maze. Admission includes the maze, petting zoo, play areas and bounce house (weekends only). There are a haunted corn maze Friday and Saturday nights in October. Go to the website to print a coupon for $2 off.

7. Apple Annie’s Fall Pumpkin Celebration
Pick your own pumpkin or find a pre-picked one at Apple Annie’s Orchard. The Willcox farm’s Fall Pumpkin Celebration boasts a 20-acre corn maze with two difficulty levels plus a hayride. A pancake breakfast is available from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and an apple-smoked burger lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin ice-cream, and homemade cider donuts will be for sale.

8. Pumpkin Fest & Corn Maze at Mortimer Family Farms
Navigate a 15-acre corn maze with a “Your Vote Your Voice” theme that depicts Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump dancing. Plus, there are 15 acres of U-pick and pre-picked pumpkins. Attractions include pony and hay-wagon rides, a straw maze for kids, food and craft vendors, live music and barn dances. Check the online schedule for additional events, including a tractor pull and fire dancers.

The 11-acre corn maze turns scarier at night: The Terror in the Corn haunted cornfield features zombies and ghouls galore and is not recommended for children younger than 13. Enjoy a regular or haunted corn maze at Willis Farm in Snowflake. On Saturdays nights starting Oct. 8, the maze becomes “Nightmares on Back Street,” a scary scene not suitable for small children.
