The state of Washington is an easy contender for first-place ranking as the most beautiful state in the United States. Snoqualmie Falls could help the state when that award all by itself. These waterfalls are an impressive natural wonder. It is one of Washington’s most famous tourist attractions, attracting more than 1.5 million visitors every year! There are two reasons these falls are so attractive to tourists, they’re simply gorgeous and they were the location for the very popular cult TV show, Twin Peaks.
Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie Falls is the perfect getaway for Washington state locals and out-of-state tourists alike. The falls are a popular wedding location, hiking destination, and nature sightseeing locale. The waterfall itself is an impressive 270-foot drop!
Another unique appeal the falls have, is for the fans of the hit 90s TV series Twin Peaks, to see the infamous The Great Northern Lodge and the falls themselves.
Where is Snoqualmie Falls?
The falls are only a mere 33 miles east of the heart of Seattle, Washington. It is part of the Snoqualmie River between Snoqualmie and Fall City, Washington.
The falls are an important spiritual center for the Snoqualmie tribe who have lived in the Snoqualmie Valley for centuries. It has served as a burial ground as well as the spiritual cosmic locus for the beginning of mankind.
The creation story takes place in the falls when the moon, known as Moon the Transformer, created the first man and woman on Earth. Prayers to the gods are brought up through the mists through the Earthly filament to the spiritual plane of heaven.
Bridge to the Falls Parking Lot

The easy accessibility to the falls makes it a great destination spot. Even the parking lot is beautiful with the trees and foliage, which really come “alive” in the Fall. But the classy bridge itself is enough reason to fall in love with the beauty of the place
. Anyone visiting Washington for the first time owes it to themselves to visit Snoqualmie Falls. It’s also an excellent quick getaway trip for those from the city to take in beautiful mother nature at its absolute finest!
