Yoga helps harmonize both the mind and body. Each session will leave you feeling refreshed. While there are a lot of other yoga classes you can take, the Arizona Goat Yoga is both interesting and cute. If you’re curious, check this out:

Imagine This: A Goat Wonderland in Arizona

Goats are one of the calmest animals that we know. No wonder that they are the stars at this farm! The whole Arizona Goat Yoga idea started when a goat whisperer with acrobatic skills and a yoga instructor teamed up and combined what they know. From there, they developed a unique yoga approach which would soon be known as Arizona Goat Yoga.

You will find a lot of adorable goats here that will surely make your day. Although we claim that this is a goat wonderland, they are not the only tame friends you’ll be able to meet here. You can also see cows and alpacas you can cuddle with. Think about that. A yoga session with goats, cows, and alpacas. Isn’t that the most adorable thing ever? You’re probably thinking about how cute the whole interaction will be!

Did You Know That Arizona Goat Yoga Is Included in the Guinness Book of World Records?

Have you seen the list of Guinness World Records recorded in Arizona? Apparently, Arizona Goat Yoga is included in that famed list.

We already know that getting one world record is already amazing, but can you believe that Arizona Goat Yoga has two? Their first world record was the fastest time for a goat to run through a human tunnel. On the other hand, the second record is for having the largest goat yoga class composed of over 350 people and 80 goats.

Arizona Goat Yoga still has something to brag about. The classes were already featured in various media, from television to magazines, newspapers, to the radio. You might have seen a feature of this unique yoga class on Ellen’s Game of Games, The Amazing Race, Ozzy and Jack World Detour, American Ninja Warrior, Start-Up, The List, and Cash Pad.

There Are a Lot of Reasons Why You Should Try Goat Yoga Classes

At Arizona Goat Yoga, you get to meet people from different walks of life. You’ll get a sense of belongingness upon being in a Kumbaya circle during the yoga session. While on that circle, you can feel the positive energy radiating from nature. Clear your mind and breathe in the fresh air. It won’t be long until you hear the baby goats making their way towards you. On top of that, they are wearing their colorful tutus. What will happen next?

The goats will playfully run around your back, giving you a soothing and relaxing feeling. The experience is just amazing, and you will instantly feel the happiness and connection with everyone around you.

Commonly, people go here to try something new. But there are other more obvious reasons why people go here: to relax. Arizona Goat Yoga also helps mothers cope with postpartum fatigue. One session can provide a stressed-out mom with the opportunity to get some fresh air and a little exercise in a joyful environment. If prancing baby goats don’t help improve your physical, mental and emotional health, then we don’t know what will! Aside from that, Arizona Goat Yoga also helps people who suffer from fibromyalgia because some of the poses bring relief. This lessens or eliminates the pain and discomfort of people with the condition.

Not to mention, this improves blood circulation and intestinal problems and improves overall peace of mind.

Arizona Goat Yoga’s goal is to make everyone happy and promote diversity. You will meet new people and build healthy relationships with them. They are still operating and conducting yoga classes in Gilbert, but they are also offering a new normal tour now.

If you’re one of those people who can’t visit them at this point, then you should consider their virtual field trips. This is perfect for your kids who wanted to see the farm with goats, cows, alpacas, and a lot more. The 10-minute virtual tour will take you around the farm, from the Alpaca land and Chicken Coop to the Goat Sanctuary. If you are lucky, you may even spot a deer.

This tour is also educational as the owners do a Q&A for everyone who wants to know about the animals.

What You Should Know

  • The actual Arizona Goat Yoga class is an hour-long, but you are welcome to stay longer to take pictures and mingle with goats.
  • If you want to secure a slot, you better call or book them now. The classes fill fast and the management highly recommends buying a ticket online as soon as possible. If that is not possible, they allow a certain fee for drop-ins for $20 a person at the door.
  • Bring your own yoga mat before you proceed to the class. Otherwise, you’d need to rent one for $5.
  • While it is understandable that people will gush over the goats or other animals, please refrain from chasing them. This is so the goats can be comfortable and safe during yoga. You are also advised to share the love but limit your time holding the baby goats. It will be hard to let go because these sweet creatures will just melt into your arms, but be strong!
  • You don’t need a special outfit for Arizona Goat Yoga. Just wear something comfortable that you are able to move around in. The goats will be jumping on your back, so you might want to wear a proper shirt.
  • Spectators are allowed but for insurance purposes, only those who pay for the class can be within the enclosed area. You can watch your friends or take pictures, but you need to stay outside the fence.
  • There is a professional photographer for each class, so you don’t have to worry about not getting that perfect photo.
  • Many Arizona Goat Yoga participants don’t exactly do yoga. Don’t be intimidated and just enjoy the experience.
